Fun fact about Ross Chastain: The history of Ross and his family ties back to watermelon farming, but also his dad had an interest in racing so much so that he did for a hobby. Since that Ross became the first person in his family to race competitively which started later in life then most aka at the age of twelve.
Fun fact about Kansas Speedway: Back when the Cup Series was formally known as the Winston Cup Series, the schedule in the 1990s was experiencing prosperous growth and the idea of Kansas being on the schedule was not guaranteed. A radical plan was put in place that entailed many negotiations in order for the track to be featured on the schedule.
Fun fact about Kansas: This state is known for being the largest wheat producer in the country and just about one fifth of wheat that is grown in the United States comes from Kansas.
