Fun fact about Watkins Glen International: In 1971 the track made an addition called the boot which added more than a mile to the Grand Prix track they have. This addition made the track go from a length of 2.35 miles to 3.377 miles, which is why it is now known as the most challenging and fastest road courses in the country.
