Name of the race: Toyota Save Mart 350.
Track: Sonoma Raceway.
Laps: 110.
Pole winner: Kyle Larson.
Outside pole: Chase Elliott.
Stage 1 winner: Kyle Larson.
Stage 2 winner: Joey Logano.
Stage 3 winner (won the race): Daniel Suarez.
Top 5: Daniel Suarez, Chris Buescher, Michael McDowell, Kevin Harvick, and Austin Cindric.
FYI: I did not get to watch the race because I was taking a break and was on a very fun vacation with my fiancé and friends at Cedar Point. My man kept tabs on the race while I was on the rides, but luckily, I was able to listen to the last few laps of the race when he told me Daniel Suarez was leading. If you know me Daniel is one of my absolute favorite drivers and I could not miss this opportunity to listen in. Sitting on the edge of a bench near Gemini trying to sit still because I was so nervous and excited that Daniel could finally break through and earn his first victory. The radio call of the last lap was a blur and hearing that he made it through all the twists and turns successfully and crossed the start-finish line, caused me to burst into happy tears and celebrate that everything was on Daniel's side, and he could bring Track House's third win of the season. Sorry, this was not the normal FYI section there usually is, but I hope this little insight into my reaction to Daniel finally becoming a winner in the Cup Series.
